About

Hi! I’m Miranda. I was formerly the author of Ramen & Rand where I wrote about being both a college student and an Objectivist. Since dropping out of school and moving to Atlanta, I’ve left my old blog and started this one. Building Atlantis is a blog about me figuring out my life, including my career, hobbies, relationships, ideas, and identity. The concept of “building Atlantis” is the happy life I want to create for myself, which begins with Atlanta, but will continue no matter where I am.

My interests include various pretty things (design, dresses, photography), American Sign Language, playing for the mom and kid teams, literature, art, teaching, movies, compulsive list-making/brainstorming, dancing, and promoting Objectivism in a fun, accessible way. I’m currently working as a nanny and art model, but in the past I’ve been a waitress, ASL teacher at a homeschool co-op, and a graphic design assistant. At the moment I’m pursuing work in styling, personal shopping, and wardrobe consultation. (Hey, wanna hire me?) I consider myself to be the queen of the benevolent universe premise.
